London Fashion Week - it's Meadham Kerchhoff time!

So LFW is upon us once again and I've secured a few tickets for some great shows for this season. However, there's one show I'd love to go to. Although I absolutely appreciate the classics with simplicity and style, I'm much more likely to wear the ridiculous - and so I'd head this way...

Drama and extravagance are what I'm after - I love a good costume and with that in mind, I would definitely like a ticket to  Meadham Kirchhoff.

With offerings like this for SS13, I just can't wait to see the delights of AW13/14.

Who are Meadham Kirchhoff?

The label was born from the incredible creative minds of duo Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff after the pair studied at Central Saint Martins - with Edward focusing on womenswear and Benjamin on menswear. By pooling their skills and unique vision, they have created one of the most innovative and refreshing labels of recent years. They won the Emerging Talent Ready-to-Wear award at the British Fashion Awards 2010.

The English/French pair have style like no other and are certainly trailblazers when it comes to trends. And although far from predictable, it's a style you can spot a mile off - and that's some feat when you consider how many designers there are out there trying to do just that.

They describe their ideal client as “Uncompromising, aware and individual.” and that their trademark piece is, "Feminine designs that are considered and executed in an old fashioned manner."

Here are a few of my favourite pieces from previous shows:

New Year - buy more stuff?

I really like buying stuff

We've still got a good few winter months ahead so to keep my pecker up I've been taking a look at what delights are available on the high street that will make me forget the drizzle outside. Funds are always tight in January and February so here are a few bits I've got my eye on, that won't break the bank...

Nothing brightens up a dull day like a splash of sparkle on your nails. I'm a big fan of these amazing sparkly nail varnishes from Models Own. Wear over natural nails for a subtle sheen or add over block coloured nails for a more colourful impact.

Models Own, Mirror Ball Collection nail varnishes, ASOS £12

Owls are going to be everywhere this year and I spotted this cute vintage inspired, compact mirror from ASOS.

This satchel looks set to be very much still on-trend for 2013, as do studs - and this bag from Primark combines both! At £9, it's a steal!

Black stud satchel, Primark £9
Adorn your ears with this great selection of mis-match earrings, I especially love the studs - but don't like the feather...

Earrings, Primark £2.50
And finally, I've got my eyes on this beaut of a dress from Topshop. I totally can't afford it, but need this in my life and am going to buy it tomorrow, before I think about it too much. Happy New Year to me!
